Abstract

This paper investigates successful recruiting practices at Christian universities, highlighting how faith-informed mission and values shape engineering enrollment strategies. Through qualitative case studies at several Christian institutions, the study identifies five key elements—fun, foundational rigor, functional career preparation, facilities, and funding—that align with a holistic Christian educational vision. Emphasis is placed on how these universities integrate spiritual development, ethical formation, and service-oriented engineering into their recruiting narratives, appealing to students seeking both technical excellence and Christ-centered purpose. The findings demonstrate that explicitly Christian commitments meaningfully influence student decision-making and strengthen the distinctiveness of engineering programs within Christian higher education.
