Abstract
The emergent technology of artificial intelligence has the potential to achieve unprecedented possibilities, both for good and evil. Evangelical Christians should use this technology in ways that recognize humans as being created in God's image, having dignity and worth, and that promote human flourishing in areas such as medicine, work, data usage, security, warfare, and public policy. Christians should participate in the development of AI in ways that work toward salutary goals. This document offers affirmations and denials about the nature of humanity, the promise of technology, and the hope for the future, aiming to equip the Christian church to proactively engage the field of AI to achieve these goals.
