Abstract
The paper addresses how engineers (students, faculty, professionals) discern good and fulfilling work, integrating passion, skills (craftsmanship), and calling within a biblical framework. It surveys modern and historical approaches (Luther, Calvin, Perkins), proposes mentoring guidelines, and cautions against perfectionism by emphasizing grace, responsibility, and deliberate practice to build “career capital” for compelling mission in one’s vocation.
