A Christian Perspective on Computer Education

About A Christian Perspective on Computer Education

Abstract

Teaching about computers should focus on the "why." What do we gain from using computers and what do we lose? Christian education must acknowledge the Lordship of Christ and equip students for lives of service. Computers can aid in this, but they can also enslave. Computer company monopolies can restrict options that allow for different choices based on different values. Christians are called to transform their lives in accord with Biblical values and not live in conformity to the world's priorities. [CJ]
