Abstract
Ng: Our work is first of all part of our Christian discipleship and calling. Our faith and its view of humans in creation should shape how we view AI. It's a tool, not an object of worship. Christians should provide positive examples of how to use AI in their work for good. Professsionals must speak up to guard the truth about what AI can and cannot do, that it only does probabilistic pattern matching, simulatting reasoning without semantic understanding or purpose. Picard: Affective computing is computing that influences and simulates emotion. In the field of AI there's a lot of falsehood put out by those who want to raise the valuation of their company. Also, AI often uses misleading anthropomorphic language in its descriptions. AI has generated falsehoods that people too readily accept today and use in their publications. Christian scholars must stand for the truth and see that good uses of AI are available wherever needed to make life better such as medical data to detect seizures. We must continue to recognize human agency in AI applications. [CJ]
