Abstract
Discusses significance of brain research, whether intelligence or consciousness can be credited to computers, and how these things relate to a Christian view of man. Sees man as a mysterious indivisible whole which has various complementary aspects that should neither be placed in opposition to one another nor ignored. Claims that even if the brain can one day be completely described in mechanistic terms, as a sort of computer, nothing that the Christian gospel has to say about you and me would be any less meaningful, true, or urgently relevant.
