Abstract
This paper frames engineering as a vocation that requires fitting ends and means—“practical wisdom.” Drawing on Hugh of St. Victor, it articulates the concept of engineering as grace (receptivity, gift, reconciliation), and illustrates with historical case studies (e.g., Basil’s famine relief) how technology can serve shalom.
