Abstract

Lipscomb University’s engineering missions program partners with CAFNIMA in Guatemala’s Ulpan Valley to implement long-term, faith-informed community development across water/public health, education, economic development, and human rights. The paper outlines site selection, student team formation, spiritual development, logistics, and project execution (e.g., solar cell-phone charging stations, community water systems, pedestrian bridges), highlighting the importance of sustained presence, local capacity-building, and integration of engineering practice with Christian service.
